Ka qenë nata e shqiptarëve në ceremoninë e sivjetme të MTV European Music Awards. Ceremonia e ndarjes së çmimeve MTV European Music Awards u zhvillua mbrëmjen e së dielës në Londër. E pavarësisht se ishte një ceremoni për vlerësimin e muzikës europiane, shfaqja përfshiu gjithashtu edhe shumë prodhime amerikane.
Mes repistëve që pretendonin dhe ia dolën me sukses të merrnin një trofe ishin Kendrick Lamar dhe Eminem, ndërkohë që garonin DJ Khaled, Kyle, Drake dhe Future and Post Malone.
Shfaqja pati për prezantuese këngëtaren britanike me origjinë nga Kosova, Rita Ora (Sahatçiu), e cila befasoi me atë dalje me rrobëdeshambër në tapetin e kuq, por edhe gjatë prezantimit.
